Delite Radio Delite Radio has been added to the DAB+ multiplex platform to Glasgow

Delite Radio has been added to the DAB+ multiplex platform in Glasgow, extending their radio coverage to the city’s population of almost 600,000.

We launched on Wednesday 11th April and hope to garner many more listeners across the Glaswegian City with our fresh and commercial sound, bringing the ‘feel-good’ back into radio with the ‘music you want to hear'!

Delite have now crossed the border into Scotland after successful launches in Portsmouth, Manchester and London to reach out to more communities.

We'll be talking about everyone in Glasgow, including small businesses and local people, and our edgier playlist will continue to be a mix between today's newest soul sounds as well as the best-loved soul and Motown tunes with some home-grown talent in there as well!

Delite Radio will be spinning our unique range of music and covering a wide scope of cultural programmes with more depth, which will no doubt appeal to thousands across Glasgow.

Mark Kirby, Programme Controller at Delite said, "We know we're not Heart or Clyde. We don't have any sort of competition."

He added: "This will be a multi-platform digital outlet that interacts with its audience through social media and telephone, as well as email, text and messenger platforms. We'll be connected to our listeners and giving people in Scotland a voice.  Delite will be more than just a radio station."

Delite joins one of several stations on DAB+ as more radio stations are preparing to broadcast on Glasgow's airwaves, as the city becomes Scotland's digital radio hotspot.

Listeners will need a newer DAB+ compatible radio, recognisable through the Digital Radio Tick Mark on packaging, to receive the full set of stations via DAB and DAB+ digital radio.
