Delite Radio Delite Radio Representation at Summer Soulstice 2017

The Deliteful dozen made their presence heard at an annual charity event in Barnet. 'Summer Soulstice' held this year on Saturday June 24th is an event established firmly in the soul calendar and organised by a host of amazing volunteers, Jamie Topham, Giles Pratt and Jamie Farqharson.

The Delite Radio team and listeners painted the old elizabethan playing fields with the Delite T-shirt that is in demand!

Our presenters Djing on the day, along with Tony Jay, Andrea Robertson, Winni Budz and Samantha Evison were proud to play such a big part and support the event. Summer Soulstice raises money for the Cherry lodge Cancer Care charity based in the area local to the station.

Our presenters spinning the crowds into a frenzy on the day were playing at all three venues;

The Club Tent- where Jon Jules had the party people 'going nuts' by throwing in some new mixes with an ecleptic blend of funky uptempo tracks.

Brian Jay seized that vibe and went straight in with some meaty basslines;  starting the party right by throwing down some sharp New Jack Swing beats and finishing off with his signature soulful house he left the early crowds wanting more.

The Connossiours Corner- where our award winning Orphy Robinson played in tandem with the remarkable talent of Ruth Fisher alongside soul brother Louie Martin. The Connossiour team laid down the musical equivalent of their hearts and minds with sets that made sentiment the masses.

The Main stage -where the focus was on our musical mastermind of Delite Radio; Richard Felstead absorbed the audience in the early afternoon with his grooves to move you, mixing classic disco and new tunes -'the music you want to hear'.

The late afternoons sunshine was compimented by the sweet voice of Aisling Iris, creating a scene that was a feast for all of your senses. Aisling paid respect to her support from Delite Radio by introducing our station during her performance.

James Anthony finished off the day in true style, paying homage to soul music as a whole with his unforgettable and classic tunes, a finale worth waiting for.

 Days like this - Summer Soulstice in style. See you next year!
